Celebrate the power of poetry with fellow poets and literature lovers

Join us on Thursday 2nd October for a special evening celebrating National Poetry Day at Satchmo's Corner.

As Rugby prepares to welcome the Literature Festival the following day, we're opening our doors for an intimate open mic session in our cosy back lounge.

Whether you're keen to share your own original verse, perform a beloved classic, or simply spit some slam poetry, all are welcome to take the mic from 7.30pm onwards.

Our warm, eclectic surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for an evening of spoken word, where creativity flows as freely as our carefully selected wines.

Come along to listen, participate, or simply soak up the atmosphere with a cocktail or coffee in hand. It's the ideal way to mark National Poetry Day and get into the literary spirit ahead of Rugby's own Literature Festival.
